Description

If you install or connect 3-phase motors and systems, you recognize the importance of verifying the correct motor rotation and wiring phase sequence. Improper connections can cause motors to rotate in reverse direction, potentially damaging the motor and the equipment it is powering.

The PRM-6 Motor and Phase Rotation Tester can test the motor rotation of 3-phase systems, and verify 3-phase receptacle wiring and phase sequencing with test leads.

An additional advanced feature is wireless motor rotation detection, which senses motor rotation direction without use of test leads. This is particularly useful for fast-running motors when the motor rotation cannot be visually determined or when the drive shaft is not visible.

    Bang for your buck

    I researched the different types of rotation tester, I thought I had made my mind up on a different brand, until I found the amprobe prm-6. This item is a must have for anyone working with motors. Definitely makes quick work of terminating motors. The features are unbeatable,and the feature of testing rotation without connecting leads is fantastic. Highly recommend this product without a doubt. Look at it this way if you are still trying to decide, save time connecting motors, which ultimately make more money by being more efficient and accurate.

    Wireless motor rotation is great

    I have to work on a university campus that nothing is the same in any building great for checking motors before turning off power and know when everything is rehooked it’s all correct.

    Well worth the money

    This tool is great for troubleshooting equipment to make sure the motor is turning the right direction without having to tear all the guarding off, or when installing a new motor and you forget to check rotation before putting the guarding back on.

    The PRM-6 is great, a must have if you work with 3 phase to ensure the proper phase rotation.
    The non-contact feature is awesome when working with pumps and motors where you cannot see if the shaft is turning or there is too much vibration and noise to tell. Great trouble shooting tool. Great price for what it does. I have showed this tester to other people, and they went out and bought one for themselves.
