If you’re looking for a versatile clamp-on amp meter for electrical motor maintenance and HVAC testing in high voltage industrial environments, the AMP-330 Clamp Meter is the best clamp meter for the job. It is the best clamp meter in the AMP-300 Series line including all the features of the AMP-320 plus a work light, peak hold, CAT IV 600 V, CAT III 1000 V safety rating and large 2.0 inch (51 mm) jaw. HVAC technicians will find the temperature and capacitance measurements they need plus DC Microamps for testing flame sensors. It also had core motor testing capabilities such as motor rotation, 3-phase sequence testing, and inrush current measurement for motor start-up monitoring. The low pass filter allows you to accurately measure current and voltage on variable frequency drives. The AC/DC amps is very useful for a variety of AC motor/power distribution and automotive uses. Microamp range for working on thermocouple heating devices. Intuitive and easy to use selection. Type-K temperature readings. It is my go to meter for all electrical maintenance issues.

I'm an Industrial Maintenance Electrician, and was looking for a new multi function clamp meter to use for everyday fault finding applications in a heavy industrial environment. I had never heard of Amprobe before, but after reading through the design specs, and hours spent trolling the internet for reviews on their products, I decided to go with the AMP-330. I've been using it for around a month now, and I absolutely love it. Firstly straight out of the box, the build quality is evident, this is a rugged meter. It is comfortable to hold and you can easily change the function mode one handed. It also comes with great quality test leads and handy alligator clips that push on right over the test probes. There are too many functions to list, but the following are my favorite: - The quick response time for taking measurements. - Supply phase rotation and motor phase rotation. - 1000A Clamp and the ability to switch between Current (A) and Frequency (Hz) whilst using the clamp at the touch of a button. - AC and DC current measurement through the clamp. - Nice large back lit display and built in work light. - Non contact voltage detection. - CAT IV 600V rated. All in all this is a beautifully made meter with a huge amount of handy functions squeezed into a small package, and I have no hesitation in recommending this to everyone. On a side note, if you don't need a 1000A clamp and a CAT III 600V rating is all you need for the work you do, have a look at the AMP-320 600A Clamp Meter, it has nearly all the same functions but comes in a more compact size. .
