Description
Rugged and easy-to-use testers for live voltage and continuity checks. Built in shaker provides the same functionality and feel as older analog solenoid testers with benefit of full input protection to CAT IV 600 V/CAT III 1000 V.
Amprobe VPC-30 Electrical Tester with VolTect™
- Super-bright bi-Color LEDs indicates safe and dangerous voltages (above 55 V DC or 30 V AC)
- Auto hold feature – LEDs stay illuminated for 10 sec retaining a reading after the tests are disconnected
- Solenoid tester-like shaker to indicate AC voltage presence
- Automatically turns ON and OFF for easy and quick measurements
- Non-contact voltage detection and GFCI test feature for testing GFCI receptacles and breakers
- Standard detachable test lead (black) for easy replacement with optional longer or specialized probe
- Automatically selects AC Voltage, DC Voltage or Continuity
- LED’s indicate 10 levels of AC and DC Voltages:
- Volts (AC) 24, 48, 120, 208, 240, 277, 347, 480, 600, 1000
- Volts (DC) 6, 12, 24, 36, 48, 60, 72, 110, 220, 380

Easy to use and very rugged.
The VCP-30 is very easy to use. Some of the features I really like are, the test leads fit easily into recepticals and are very sturdy. Many other testers I have used, the leads bend or break after several uses and the meter becomes problematic. The readout is easy to see even outside in sunlight and indoor areas where there is low light. The unit itself is compact and doesn’t take up alot of space. I have used the meter in many different weather conditions. It has been dropped off ladders, even fell down a flight of stairs. Except for a few scratches on the case there was no problems with the meters performance. Great Job Amprobe.

Can’t lose with this tester
I have several testers… missed having a super simple one to just whip out and get a reading on voltage. So, I bought this VPC-30. My helper or I use this about 95% of the time in residential and light commercial work (small retail shops, etc.) LOVE the feel of having the tester vibrate like the old solenoid. It’s a must have for me.
